The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Janet Bellotto | Barb Hunt | Faith La Rocque | Camilla Singh

August 1 – 31, 2013

Opening Reception: Thursday August 1, 6 – 9pm

A flood followed by a heatwave and then a tornado! What a Summer we've had so far, but what's next? De luca fine art is pleased to present four multi-disciplinary artists, who will unleash their prowess on our petit cute gallery for a quintessential Summer show The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Toronto's posh Yorkville. Are we able to protect ourselves against the creative exertions by Janet Bellotto, Barb Hunt, Faith La Rocque and Camilla Singh?

We don't know what these artists are going to throw in our sun soaked faces, but we are trying hard not to panic and proceed as normal. The exhibition is upon us and we can't predict the impact of the combined forces of Bellotto, Hunt, La Rocque and Singh. They are indomitable and tenacious artists with wondrous minds, on a mission to leave an impact that will have us mortals trembling in our knickers, boxers or briefs.

One thing we do know, there won't be any Canadian landscape paintings in this exhibition.

Distortion at Angell Gallery

ANGELL GALLERY is pleased to present "Distortion," a solo exhibition by Toronto-based artist Camilla Singh. The exhibition will be on display in the Project Room from June 7th to July7th, 2012. An opening reception will be held on Thursday June 7th from 6:00-9:00pm.

The drawings presented in this exhibition delineate a hidden realm that directs libidnous urges or primitive impulses into more socially acceptable direction. They are the solid deposit of a psychic state, the sublimation of a thought into physical form. the selection of drawings presented in "Distortion" are from an opgong series called "Secrets" that began in 2010.
