Châtelaines (tools for curators), 2014

Marvin & Dara Singer Châtelaine for Magic Pony and Narwhal Co-Founder Kristin Weckworth   2014

The Châtelaines are historical forms adapted as tools for curators of contemporary art. A Châtelaine is an ornamental waist-hung appendage of European origin with suspended chains that originally held the keys of a castle or functional daily tools.

FBN Chatelaine tools:
1. Pyrite – Trust what’s right for me
2. Rose Quartz Pendulum – Decision making / duality in everything I do
3. Sage & Key– Clarity, meditation, moving an idea and a smell through space & always unlocking something, what’s the next door, what’s the next path, always looking for the secret door
4. Telescope – Looking
5. Knife – Because you need some of that to get by
